Pet A Pet Grooming Salon Waiver Agreement

Your pet’s safety and comfort are our highest priorities. Our team will make every effort to ensure that your pet’s grooming experience is as safe, comfortable, and stress-free as possible.

 

1. Accidents & Veterinary Care

 

While we take great care, minor injuries may occur during grooming due to animal movement. Owners will be notified immediately. If urgent veterinary care is required and the owner cannot be contacted, we may seek treatment at the owner’s expense unless caused by proven salon negligence.

 

2. Matted Coat Policy

 

Matted coats require extra time and fees. Severe matting may require shaving, which carries risks such as cuts, abrasions, or irritation. By proceeding, owners accept these risks. The salon is not liable for any injuries, cuts, or skin issues resulting from de-matting or shaving procedures.

 

3. Flea Policy

 

To maintain a flea-free environment, any pet found with fleas will receive a medicated flea treatment at an additional $30 charge. This is necessary to protect your pet and other pets in our care from infestation.

 

4. Aggressive or Difficult Pets

 

We reserve the right to refuse or stop grooming if a pet shows aggression, extreme anxiety, illness, or parasites. Pets requiring extra handling due to behaviour may incur additional charges for staff time and safety management.

 

5. Appointment & Pick-Up Policy

 

Grooming is by appointment only. Pets must be collected within one hour after completion. A late fee of $1 per minute may apply. Late arrivals over 15 minutes may incur a $1 per minute fee at Pet A Pet’s discretion.

 

6. Senior Pets & Medical Conditions

 

Senior pets in this context refer specifically to pets aged seven years and above (including seven years old). Senior pets and pets with existing health conditions carry a higher risk during grooming, including injury, stress-related complications, or in rare cases, death.

Grooming will be performed with the pet’s comfort as the priority, and we reserve the right to modify, shorten, or stop the grooming process at any time if it is in the best interest of the pet.

7. Pricing Disclaimer

 

All prices are a guide only. Final pricing may vary depending on your pet’s coat condition, size, behaviour, and overall health, as assessed during the grooming process.

 

8. Safety & Sedation Policy

 

Sedation is not used at Pet A Pet. We reserve the right to stop or refuse grooming at any time if it is deemed unsafe for the pet or our staff.

 

Owner Declaration:

By reading this agreement and making booking to Pet A Pet Grooming Salon, I confirm that my pet is up-to-date with all vaccinations required by law and is in good health to the best of my knowledge. And my pet is in suitable health for grooming and all relevant conditions have been disclosed.

I understand that I am responsible for paying the standard grooming fee for the services requested, as well as any additional charges that may apply for services or circumstances described in this agreement. Pet A Pet is not liable for any injuries, cuts, or skin irritation resulting from de-matting or shaving, nor for any illness, injury, or complications arising during grooming, including those related to senior age or pre-existing medical conditions.
